AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE

This weekend I had two parties, the first one was the birthday of one of my friends, the party was in Binissalem, in the garden of his house. The problem was the weather, there was quite windy and we had to do a barbacue, I don't know how we get alight and ignite the carbon. The Saturday, I had match but I couldn't play because in the last game, disputing a ball, I got hit in the ankle and I couldn't train that week.That night there was a Techno party and I went with Álvaro and my teammates. The DJs were incredible and Álvaro and me met the DJ resident of Mallorca, it was a good night. In Globalia we have started Air conditioning and pressurization with Jaime, it´s interesting how the airplanes keep inside a pressure where we can be without problems. In the workshop we have do the maintenance of the shock absorber, we have had to take out the air and to compress the shock absorber to see if ther was hydraulic liquid. The Friday was November 1st, and we didn’t have class. The Thursday 31 there was a party in the same place as Son Pacs (Son Rossinyol) but after the party of Madrid my body needed a break. Finally I went to the parking in front of the club while my friends drink something before enter. I was there because a lot of friend, that they study outside the island, came for the parties. The Friday I met with them, we had dinner in the house of one of them and we stayed there speaking about our lives and studies. The Sunday we had match, after two match that I couldn’t play and my team lost them, we won 3-0 against Sant Marçal. I played all game and I avoided 3 goals attempts. The Monday we hadn’t class, and I used the day for rest. In classes we finished to mount the turbocompressor.  The important of the practice was point the steps and to point the connections of the pipes to be able to mount later. Today I want to start telling I was doing in my free time. This weekend was awesome, I went to Madrid with my childhood friends and Álvaro. As I said last post, we bought the ticket for a party and all of us wanted to enjoy the weekend. My brother studies in madrid, and I went to his house. I couldn’t spend much time with him, but enough to catch up. We arrived to Madrid the Friday at 1AM, my friend decided to rest for the next nigth, but Álvaro and me met with my friends of Madrid and we went to a club next of my brother’s house. Fabrik, the discotheque, is amazing, there was five  rooms and the main room was all decorated with horrifying and dark. We was like ten of Mallorca and we stayed almost all night together. The bad thing of the night was that someone stole the phones of two of my friends, but they could return to the island. In classes we started to see ATA 36 (Pneumatic) with Jose Miguel. Another week in Globalia and we have seen the ATA 24 (Fligth Controls) with Fernando. He knows a lot of about the differents aircrafts and its differents system. In all class you can see his knowledge and he say a lot of interesting things, but when he starts to read the book or the computer the class starts to be boring. Meanwhile in the workshop we have a interesting task, we must to disassembly a turbocompressor and later assemble like it was before. We have one turbocompressor for two mates, I am working with Xisco Fuentes. He is very intelligent and he knowa how to work efficient. We are a good group, he is better searching the information and I am good desinstalling components likes hoses, tubes, pipes, nuts, bolts... This week we organizated the party of Halloween, we bought fights to go to Madrid, and we bought the tickets for a Horrorween ( a Techno Party organizated by The Row) in the nightclub named Fabrik. This past week in theory classes we started hydraulic system (ATA 29) with Jose Miguel. This system are very common and important in the aircraft to actuate differents mechanisms. We saw all the components and lines of the system while we working in it in the workshop. In practices classes my group uninstalled de hydraulic reservoir, that it is like a tank, in the turbocommander. U ninstalling and installing the hydraulic reservoir was so difficult and meticuloustly task because the situation of the component is the tail of the turbocommander, and you had to enter in a narrow place. I was one of the fortunate to enter in that small space. The Saturday we had match against Marratxi, the result was 1-1 but it could be very different, we had many more opportunities. I could give two assists but my teammates failed. I have been going to the library, this module is too extended, it have so many things to know, it will be a long exam. T his week we have gone to the fligth simulator cockpit of the Boing 737NG, the objective of the practice was start the APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) and the engines. While in theory classes we started ATA 24 (Electrical Power) with Arnaldo. In  workshop's classes my team ( Geovanny, Álvaro and Xisco) did the removal and installation of the Hydraulic shutoff valve and the Hydraulic Engine Driven Pump, these components are situated in the engines, over the wings. The practices was a little difficult because there were nuts and washes very complicates to arrive. Afterclasses I started going to the library, Module 7 is in a few weeks and it’s important to start as soon as possible. The weekend we had a match but I couldn’t assist, luckly my team won 0-1, it was a difficult match. After the match I went with my friend to a club to celebrate the birthday of one of my friend who studies aircraft mechanic in Madrid like us, it was a funny nigth with my childhood friends.
